“When I say I want to photograph someone, what it really means is that I’d like to know them.” -Annie Leibovitz
I think the thing I would like to get out there first is that I am humbled and honored to step into the spaces I have been allowed with my clients. I treasure the moments I capture, they are precious to me and I believe that comes through in what I deliver to my clients. When my images are viewed I do not only want them to be a reminder of a moment I want them to have the “aroma” of that moment. I don’t want my images to only be something for your eyes I want them to be something that goes beyond that, to your heart.
My wish is to build a relationship with my clients. I want to be the photographer that you remember as the one who made you laugh and the one willing to go that extra mile for you. I want to be that photographer that you can confidently recommend to your family and friends. Photographs aren’t just pictures. They are stories, some big and some small. I would love to help you to tell your story in a way that will stand the test of time.
I prefer to structure myself and imagery around your life as it naturally happens. I am told I have an uncanny (people still use that word?) ability to capture “moments”. Much of that has to do with who I am as a person. I hear the soft whispers, see the quick glances and feel a sense of connection when most others cannot or do not. I try to make images that touch hearts and spirits besides being pleasing to the eyes. I guess what I am trying to say with that statement is that I like my photography to appear as natural as possible rather than tightly structured and forced. I want “who you are” to be visible in your images. That is one of the reasons I take the time, if possible , prior to any shoot, to get to know you better. It is important that there be a connection between the photographer and their subject.
I know that for many people, including myself, it can be an uncomfortable position to be in, in front of the lens. I understand that uncomfortability. I know the best images will come when you feel comfortable enough to just be who you are. Thankfully I have been blessed with a personality and demeanor that puts people (big and small) at ease pretty quickly. I want us all to walk away feeling like we had a good time and I want to provide the imagery that proves we did.
Interested in how I arrived at “Exposed To Light”? Wrestling with a name for my business several years ago I wanted to somehow tie together both photography and my faith. This name seemed to do both, I fell in love with it, and made it mine.
I would love the opportunity to work with you to capture reflections of your life’s memorable moments. I am available for on-location shoots and I have full studio access near downtown Minneapolis for those cold Winter months. I am willing to travel and encourage you to inquire about that if you are outside the twin cities/metro area.

Thank you for “liking” Art Reach Productions Bill! I’m honored! I LOVED the photos you took at the PFR concert. Do you attend Open Door? I would love it if we lived close enough to attend… we’ve loved Dave Johnson’s teaching for years! Between following PFR for years and knowing some other OD people, we feel kindred spirits with the church! Thanks again for the “like” on our production page! I should add past productions to the albums and explain the history more, just haven’t gotten around to doing that yet.
TC & God Bless,
